There are many opportunities for lifelong learning in Peterborough including taking continuing education classes, attending public lectures and utilizing Peterborough’s many libraries.

Continuing Education

Continuing education is another name for classes taken by adults. In Peterborough, you can find these classes at several locations.

Public Lectures

Public lectures covering a wide array of topics are common in Peterborough. Lectures are hosted by Trent University, Fleming College, and various local community organizations. For event listings please visit the News and Events section of this website.

Libraries

Peterborough Public Library

The libraries at Trent University and Fleming College are also open to the public.

The Peterborough branch of the Ontario Public Interest Research Group (OPIRG) also provides an alternative resource library at Sadleir House in downtown Peterborough.

The Kawartha World Issues Centre (KWIC) also has a resource library.
