In fact, statistics provided by the New Canadians Centre Peterborough show that the immigrant population is growing at a faster rate than the overall population.  Immigration to Peterborough is also increasing at a more rapid rate than in the rest of Ontario (excluding Toronto and Ottawa). Over the past 10 years the New Canadians’ Centre Peterborough has served over 1200 clients from 112 countries.
